Built for signing in a truck
The reason this exists is a specific moment: the homeowner says yes on the phone, the contract is sitting in your email, and the job starts tomorrow. You do not want to drive to an office, you do not want to install anything, and you very much do not want to hand a customer's contract to a website that keeps a copy.

What this is, and what it is not
This places a picture of your signature on the page and saves the file. That is an electronic signature in the plain sense, and for the overwhelming majority of residential contracting paperwork, a signed PDF exchanged by email is exactly what both sides expect and exactly what holds up.
It is not a certificate based digital signature, and it does not build an audit trail of who opened the document and when. If you are signing something where a notary, a witness or a tamper evident certificate is required, use a service built for that. If you are signing a change order for a bathroom remodel, this is the whole job.
Nothing is uploaded, and that matters more here
Every other free signing site works the same way: your document goes up to their server, gets modified there, and comes back. Whatever is in that contract, the price, the customer's address, your license number, their bank details on a deposit page, has now been on a machine you do not control.
This page never sends the file. Your browser reads the bytes, draws on them and hands you the result. The privacy claim is stronger here than anywhere else on this site, because a contract is the single most sensitive document a small contractor emails.

Is my signature stored anywhere?
Only in this browser, on this device, if you leave the box ticked when you draw it. That is what makes the next document one tap instead of another drawing. It is never uploaded, it is not attached to any account because there are no accounts here, and a Forget it button sits beside it every time it is shown. Untick the box and the mark works for this visit and is gone when the tab closes.
Is my document uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened and edited inside your browser. Nothing is sent, nothing is stored, and closing the tab is the whole of the cleanup.
Is a signature added this way legally binding?
In the United States, electronic signatures are covered by the federal ESIGN Act and by state law in almost every state, and a signed PDF exchanged by email is ordinary practice in contracting. It is not legal advice, and it is not the right tool where a notary or a witness is required.
Can I sign on a phone?
Yes, and that is what it was built for. Draw with a finger, drag the signature into place, and download.
Can I sign more than one page?
Yes. Every page of the document is shown, and you can place a signature, initials or a date on any of them.
Why does the signed file look slightly different in some readers?
It should not. The original page content is left exactly as it was and the signature is drawn on top, so anything that renders the original will render the signed copy the same way.
What about a password protected PDF?
A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be read here, which is deliberate. Remove the password in whatever program you used to set it, then sign the copy.
