What else matters here

Rent or build a drywall lift for a ceiling this size. Two people can hand hang a ceiling, and the second one spends the whole time holding a sheet against their head while the first one finds a screw. A lift turns a two person struggle into a one person job with a better result.
Run the ceiling sheets across the joists, not along them, and stagger the butt joints. Running them along a joist puts an entire joint on a single framing member, which telegraphs every bit of movement in that joist straight into the finish.

- Joint compound is figured at one 4.5 gallon bucket per 475 sq ft of board for a full three coat finish. A level 5 finish uses more.
- Tape is figured at 380 linear feet per 1000 sq ft of board, screws at 32 per sheet for 16 inch on center framing.
- Longer sheets mean fewer butt joints, which is less taping and a flatter wall. Use 12 footers where they will fit through the door.
